RECOMMENDED BACKGROUND: Successful completion of Stage 1 Spanish
COURSE CONTENT:
By the end of year 12, students should be able to communicate about a variety of topics in Spanish with some confidence. They should be able to read, write and speak with confidence and have a more in-depth understanding of issues relating to Spanish-Speaking countries. Opportunities for cultural excursions at a Senior level include: cooking Spanish food, attending the Spanish film festival, viewing a Spanish Art Gallery exhibition or a visit to the Central Market.
ASSESSMENT:
Students will be assessed throughout the year according to the linguistic requirements outlined in SACE Stage 2 Subject Outline. 70% of the grade being from the assessment. 30% will be based on the end of year exam which tests their applied understanding of the four macro skills of writing, reading, speaking and listening.

COMPLETION OF THIS SUBJECT LEADS TO:
The study of Spanish language at a tertiary level. Students will also be able to use this subject in a range of other undergraduate courses. Spanish can also provide bonus points for students to contribute towards their ATAR.
